In 2001 Amir had his Bachelor of Engineering in Textile from the NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. After that he had a good experiance in industry as a senior spinning manager between 2001 - 2003 then as a technical manager in a different mill untill 2006. Between 2003 and 2006 he also was a technical manager in Spectra Fabric’s private limited. Between 2006 and 2008 he worked as a Factory Manager in Al Ghousia Knitting Factory and he also did a master in  Textile Engineering in NED University. Since 2008, he has been working as an assistant professor in NED University of Engineering and Technology.


 Currently, Amir is doing a PhD in the Garment Engineering field of Textile at the School of Textiles and Design, he is working to find a new approach to address the seam pucker through interaction behavior of raw material after sewing operation and its remedy.
